Embreus social consultancy – Tomas Embreus – has been in socialwork since 1983. Over the years I have done the following:
- I took over and developed a project for youth between age 20-25 with drug addiction, social concerning behaviour etc during the period of 1983 to 1985
- I worked 5 years at SAAB car manufacturing company in Trollhattan as a socialworker. I was responsible for conctacts between the company and the social insurance office, employment office and other rehabilitation services. I was also involved in training first line managers/team leaders in psychosocial work related issues and group development.
- I worked 5 years in a consult group with organisation- och management development as well as work rehabilitation/coaching programs for long-term sick listed persons
- Worked 12 years with child protection case work in Trollhatten social service.
I have been on the Signs-of-Safety journey since 1999 when I first got my hands on the book that Andrew Turnell and Steve Edwards wrote. Over the years I have learnt to know Andrew and I hope that we will finish a book for the swedish market next year. I started my own firm in 2003 but it was not before 2005 that I started doing workshops and trainings. Now I’m self employed since 2007.
